From start to finish, this service includes:

Custom design & consultation
Working with clients on design: hull form, dimensions, function (sail, row, motor, hybrid), style (clinker, carvel, lapstrake, asymmetrical).

Lofting & full-scale templates
Establishing accurate patterns, plans, lofting lines.

Timber sourcing & preparation
Procuring quality timber (oak, larch, elm, etc.), seasoning, milling, steam bending, laminates (if used), shaping.

Frame & backbone construction
Building keel, stem, sternpost, floors, frames, ribs in traditional methods.

Planking / skinning
Laying planks (carvel, clinker, etc.), caulking, fastenings using traditional techniques.

Decking, coamings & superstructure
Deck layout, hatches, bulwarks, rails, cabin structures, cockpit, etc.

Joinery & fitout
Interior joinery, furniture, seating, cabinetry, finishing touches.

Systems integration
Routing wiring, plumbing, engine installation (if needed), bilge systems, fuel, etc., in a way that respects the wooden structure.

Rigging & spars (if sailing vessel)
Design and manufacture of masts, spars, boom, rigging with traditional or sympathetic materials.

Finishing & coatings
Surface finishing (sanding, priming, varnishing, painting) tailored to wooden craft.

Trials, commissioning & handover
Sea trials, testing, checks, owner handover with documentation and care briefing.
