Here’s what’s included when you work with us:
On-site or dockside survey
A detailed walk-around inspection of the hull, deck, rigging, structure, joinery, fastenings, and systems.
Structural & condition report
Diagnosis of wet rot, dry rot, fungal decay, delamination, cracking, keel integrity, frame condition, fastener corrosion, etc.
Photo / video documentation
High-resolution photographs and video walk-through to show areas of concern.
Estimate & scope proposal
Written estimate of work needed, prioritized (e.g. essential, recommended, optional) with cost ranges and timelines.
Consultation on materials & methods
Advice on traditional Irish timbers (oak, larch, perhaps native species), caulking, fastening types (copper, silicon bronze, etc.), traditional joinery practices, and modern supplements (epoxy, resins) as appropriate.
Feasibility / restoration planning
For older or deteriorated craft, assessment whether full restoration, partial rebuild, or new build may be more cost-effective..
